2026 State of the City

2026 State of the City

January 13, 2026 (7:30 AM - 9:30 AM) (EST)

Description

Start your year with one of Kingston’s most anticipated and consistently sold-out events. Join us for the 2026 State of the City on January 13th at 7:30 AM at the Quality Inn & Conference Centre Kingston, where you’ll hear directly from Mark Gerretsen (MP, Kingston and the Islands), Ted Hsu (MPP, Kingston and the Islands), and Bryan Paterson (Mayor, City of Kingston).

The Chamber’s State of the City—featuring a full breakfast and premium networking—sets the tone for the year ahead across all three levels of government. This annual gathering has become a cornerstone event for Kingston’s business community, providing insight into the issues, opportunities, and priorities shaping our region.

Our representatives will deliver brief, focused presentations outlining their priorities for 2026, followed by an extended opportunity for attendees to pose questions directly to each speaker. This year’s structure is designed to elevate meaningful, solution-oriented dialogue between Kingston’s business community and leaders at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels. It offers a valuable forum to explore emerging issues, identify opportunities for collaboration, and strengthen connections between decision-makers and the public they serve.
