Description

📣 A conversation Kingston’s business community won’t want to miss!

The Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to welcome Candace Laing, President & CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, as the keynote speaker for our Economic Landscape Luncheon on October 8.

At a time when Canadian businesses are navigating tariffs, trade uncertainty, productivity challenges and an increasingly competitive global economy, Candace is at the centre of some of the most important conversations shaping Canada’s economic future.

Candace serves on the Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee on Canada-U.S. Economic Relations, providing strategic advice on one of Canada’s most critical economic relationships. She was also recently appointed to International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu’s Strategic Exports Advisory Council, helping inform Canada’s efforts to diversify trade and strengthen the global competitiveness of Canadian exporters.

From leading trade missions to the United States and Mexico to engaging directly with government and business leaders, Candace brings a firsthand perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing Canadian companies as they navigate an increasingly complex global economy.

Following Candace’s keynote, we’ll continue the conversation with a fireside chat, digging deeper into what these rapidly changing economic and trade realities mean for businesses here in Kingston.
